A Carson Update

A few weeks ago Carson had his one year check up. We have a very healthy and happy baby boy. He weighs 22 pounds (50th percentile) and is 31 1/2 inches (90th percentile) long. While in the office he was a happy playful boy but after being in there for over an hour Carson started to get upset. So the nurse let us roam the halls of the office and while doing that Carson made some friends and was a big hit. One of the nurses pulled out some bubbles and instead of chasing them Carson was eating them. Silly boy!

That same week we went to St. Ann's (our church) Carnival. Carson got to go on his first carousal ride. We went in the morning without knowing that they bring out all the fun stuff for kids in the evenings. So there was no petting zoo or pony rides. Oh well maybe next year.

Once we got home from Missouri, Carson got to open his birthday gifts from us. He has really enjoyed his new red car. He is so cute in it. I love it because I can push him around the house are the neighborhood. He loves it because it plays music and there are many ways for him to get in and out of it. Sometimes head first. He also got a tunnel which he just loves. Our neighbors Matt and Hang came over the other night for Game Night and Matt had got into it and stood up ... well Carson did not know what to think about that. It was pretty funny to watch.

While I was making dinner the other day I had left the door on the fridge open so Carson could play in there ... he loves that. Well it got really quite and I noticed that he was not there any more. I found him in the living room watching TV with a stick of butter in his mouth. What a snack ... my silly silly boy. It must have felt good to his gums. FYI Carson has four molars coming in right now. Yes, that would be one on all sides of his mouth. Poor boy! He has been a champ about it ... so strong and brave.

This weekend after Ike left the area we headed over to Grapefest in Grapevine. The weather was prefect and hey they had wine and a petting zoo. So they whole family was very happy.
