Lindsi and Rey's Wedding

Congrats to our good friends Rey and Lindsi. They got married this past Friday in Santa Fe, NM.

This week was a busy one for us. After our trip to Hilton Head we had to hit the ground running. Monday we had to do the laundry and organize for the week. Tuesday was MMO (Mom's Morning Out) and Carson was not to fond of the daycare thing. Wednesday we had MOPS (Mother's of Preschool Children) and then on Thursday we hosted playgroup at our house. After everyone left playgroup Carson went down for a nap and I packed us up for our trip to Santa Fe. That night we ran to the Galleria to pick up a few last minute things and to grab dinner at Grand Lux. Always yummy! Then it was off to bed for all of us.

Friday morning we were up and running by 5:00 in order to catch our flight to NM. FYI ... We have been in three different time zones this past week. When we got into NM we had a hour drive to Santa Fe. Once we made it into town we grabbed a nice lunch in downtown Santa Fe. Our room was not ready when we check in at Bishop's Lodge but Matt and Hang were so sweet and let us hang out in their room while we waited. So we put Carson down for a nap. Then we were able to relax and read on the back deck in the sun. After Carson woke up our room was ready. So we checked in and got dressed for the wedding.

The wedding was beautiful and the weather was perfect. They got married in this little chapel called the Loretto Chapel which has this wonderful staircase made with no nails. The wedding was a hit. Carson made it all the way down with the help of Daddy. He was going to walk with the flower girls but they had a hard time trying to figure out how to hold his hand and drop the rose petals so Todd helped him. He was a BIG BOY and did a good job. A funny note from the wedding. One of the flower girls hair caught fire and her mom had to hit her on the head to get it out. It was a scene ... don't worry everyone is okay.

They had their reception at the La Fonda Hotel (Oldest hotel in Santa Fe). The food and views were amazing. We all had a wonderful time. Carson fell in love with Rick and Dora. Rick stands at 6 feet and 8 inches so Carson loved the view when Rick would hold him. Carson also loved dancing with Dora who is Rick's wife. They were so sweet to Carson. While at the reception we met so many people and everyone had a great time.

The next morning we were able to sleep in and Carson slept till 8:00 ... WOW! We took our time getting ready and packed up. Then met up with Matt and Hang and drove into town (our hotel Bishop's Lodge is located just outside of Santa Fe) to meet Rey and Lindsi for brunch. It was so nice to be able to all sit down and talk and have a great meal. After that Rey and Lindsi took us to see their room at La Fonda ... very nice and it had the best view of the mountains. We then all loaded up and headed back to the airport for our flight home with Matt and Hang. It was a fast trip but also very relaxing and enjoyable. We would love to go back sometime.

This week we plan on going to the Pumpkin Patch for our pumpkins and getting our mums for the season. We also have MMO and playgroup. A week from today Carson and I will be heading back to KV for the week and Todd will join us for the weekend.
