Wow that was a fast one.

The alarm started to go off at 4:00AM on Saturday morning. Much to my disappointment we had to get up. We were heading to St. Louis to visit Sara, Ryan, Bella and Aunt Lissy. My Mom, Dad, and Molly were also in St. Louis for a wedding. So Todd and I both got ready and then around 4:30AM got Carson up. We gave him a bath and put him in a cute outfit and then we were off to the airport.

By 8:30AM we were in St Louis and being picked up by Papa and Grandma. First we stopped by the Sedlak house. Todd got to meet and hold baby Bella. Todd holding a baby is just always too cute. Then we loaded up everyone and headed out for breakfast. Carson was not on his best behavior. See he really needed a nap but had no interest in one. He was a big hit with the girls at Chris’s Pancake House. Too bad he would not behave that way when he was with us.

After breakfast we hung out at Sara and Ryan’s. Then we all got brave and took a trip to Grant’s Farm. There was a long line of cars to get in but once we got in everyone enjoyed themselves. Bella was a champ. Carson was not as big of a champ. Once again he needed a nap but would not take one. One part he really enjoyed was the goats. He liked how they licked his fingers. He did not like it however when they nibbled on his fingers … not as much fun! After that he was not interested in the animals. It seems no matter how cute Carson looks in the morning he ends up looking a little white trash by the end of the day. Which by the time we left Grant’s Farm, Carson was looking a little white trash … dirty feet and all. Mommy and Daddy did enjoy the free beer and Bacardi drinks in the beer garden.

When we got back from Grant’s Farm we ordered pizza and hung out with the Sedlak’s and Molly. We were a pretty boring bunch. I think we all could have gone to bed by 8:00 if we could of. Put it this way … by 9:00 we were ALL watching Baby Einstein like it was a new blockbuster movie. Then Papa and Grandma came back from the wedding and added a little life to our party. Oh just so you know Carson did not take one nap on Saturday. He was so FUN to be around.

Once Lissy got back from the wedding we headed over to her cute place to spend the night. Everyone was in bed by 12:30. See Carson had to explore and destroy her place before he could go to bed. 5:30 rolled around and I hear Carson. So I got him up and went into the living room. After his bottle Carson, Lissy, and I all watched Morning Disney and waited for Todd to wake up.
Once we were ready Papa and Grandma came by to pick us up and take us to the City Diner for breakfast … Yummy! Carson got to try his first chocolate shake thanks to Papa. After that we went back to Sara’s to hang out a little bit before we had to head back to the airport. Carson slept the whole way home on the plane and was in bed by 8:00 Sunday. I think he was a little pooped out.

We are off again.

Here are a few pics from playgroup and one of Carson’s favorite places in our house. We are taking a quick trip to STL this weekend to see Bella and my family. She is just too cute. Carson’s excited to go “bulldoze” another house. My mom calls him her "little bulldozer" because he works his way through a room like one.

Off to Louisville

On Friday morning Grandma and Papa came by early in the morning to pick us up from Aunt Lissy’s to take us to the airport. Thank you so much for doing that. I know it made for an early morning. Carson and I then flew from St. Louis to DFW. Since we had to catch a flight from DFW to Louisville in a few hours Carson and I hung out in the airport till Daddy could join us. We then had lunch with daddy. Then we were off on a flight to Louisville to go visit Granddad and Grandma Joy. It made for a long day but Carson is such a good sport about it all. Lissy thank you for letting us stay with you and destroying your apartment. You’re such a good aunt. PS Carson loved meeting your coworkers. Oh Yes … Papa, Carson wants to try some Ted Drus (spelling??) … he promises he will stay awake this time.

Friday late afternoon Granddad and Grandma Joy pick us up from the Louisville airport and were so excited to see Carson. While we were unpacking Carson climbed into my suitcase and made himself at home. He then tumbled out and went right on exploring his new surroundings. That night we had a late dinner and then went to bed for a good night’s sleep.

On Saturday Daddy played golf with Granddad while Mommy and Carson went shopping with Grandma Joy. That night we went to the Cathedral for mass and then it was off to the Bats baseball game. Carson really enjoyed his first game. He wore his first Cards jersey and baseball cap. He looked just too cute for words. He even got some cheesy fries. Sorry Lissy and Sara but there were no foam fingers. But our sleepy boy was out by the 7th inning. The bats won.

Sunday was my first Mother’s Day. Since we had gone to mass on Saturday night we got to sleep in. Even Carson slept till 9:00 which was 8:00 our time. We got cleaned up and went to Barbra Lee’s for brunch. It’s the awesome greasy spoon that I just love. When we got home Carson took a nap and then we opened gifts. Carson and Daddy gave me a pair of sunglasses I had been eyeing. THANK YOU!!! Don and Joy gave me a book and a Dust Buster which I needed badly. Before you knew it, it was time to pack up and head to the airport again. Our trip home went really well. We ran into Todd’s good friend Michael and his wife Monica at the airport. So we talked with them for a while and then caught our flight back home. Everything went pretty well until we got off the plane. Carson then got sick to his stomach right there where they scan your tickets. Well we cleaned him up and headed home. He got sick a few more times that night and the next day. You would have never guessed his stomach was upset. After he would get sick he would go right back to playing like nothing had ever happened. Over all it was a great weekend with family. We can’t wait to do it again next week.

Bella Bella Bella!

You just can’t say her name enough. It’s just too cute and fun to say. On Wednesday Carson and I started our crazy traveling week. We first flew from DFW to St. Louis to meet our newest family member Bella. Lissy was sweet enough to pick us up from the airport on her lunch break. Now that may sound easy to do. But it’s really like trying to pick up a circus. Lissy was also kind enough to let us stay with her. She is so good to us. THANK YOU!!!!!

Well once she dropped us off at Sara and Ryan’s we got meet Bella … Yippy Skippy! She is such a cute and sweet baby. Sara and Ryan were blessed with a wonderfully calm and easy going baby girl. As parents they are amazing. You would have guessed this was like their 4th child.

Grandma was there helping out the cute little family. She is so good at that. I remember when she came for Carson. She and Papa were our saving grace. They were wonderful at making sure our home would not fall apart. That gave us time to spend with Carson and not have to worry about such things as laundry and dinner.

Our trip was fast but wonderful. Thank you to everyone who helped us get back and forth.

Happy Birthday Aunt Molly!

Todd took this picture in honor of your 16th birthday.
“Good Golly Miss Molly” you are 16 years old. Wow that was fast. Sorry we are a little late with this posting but things have been a little crazy these past few days.

Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday dear Molly.
Happy birthday to you.

We love you and can’t wait till you get to Dallas for your visit. Carson has many fun activities planned. Like Six Flags with all its roller coasters.

New Places and an Update

Carson has now found the guestroom and its window. Last morning I left the door to our bedroom open and this is how I found him. He was stuck and trying to get to the surge protector.

Here are a few new pictures of little Miss Bella taken by Ali. She is such a cutie. She was getting ready to have her pictures taken. Carson and I get to meet her tomorrow. Todd will get to meet her not this weekend but the next.

Our Little Weekend

Our little weekend started off with Todd and Carson having a boy night at home while mommy went to a movie and dinner with some other mommies. I must say when I got back that evening the house was clean and Carson and Todd were both sleeping very well. Daddy did an awesome job! Saturday Todd had to work so Carson and I celebrated Derby Day in our own little way. Carson wore his Derby t-shirt that he got from Grandma Joy and Granddad. It was cute “My First Derby” was printed on the front. Carson also loved the horse necklace they sent for him. Daddy’s horse won. Mommy’s horse came in second but they had to put her down … very sad. Carson’s horse Big Truck did not do as well. But I think overall he enjoyed his first Derby Day Sunday was a wonderful day. That morning we found out that Sara was in labor and Baby Sedlak was on its way. So while we were waiting we went to church, brunch and shopping. Then around 7:30PM we found out that Bella Lucille Sedlak had been born and that she was a true blessing for Sara and Ryan.
