Silly Boy

So proud of his new trick.

Getting out of the dryer.

Our Silly Boy!

Now I'm a Happy Boy!

After our nap with our band aid and sticker ... not so happy this time when we woke up.

Our week was pretty normal. I must say it was nice to be back on our schedule. We got do Mom's Morning Out, MOPS, and our Playgroup. Carson was not a fan of the daycare involved with MMO and MOPS. I only left him there for short time spans in hope of making them longer over time.

On Friday we had to go get the second half of his flu shot. He was such a big boy. He only cried when the nurse gave him the shot. He was over it so fast that he even told the nurse "bye" as she left the room. He got a circus band aid and a Veggie Tales sticker as we left. He really liked both.

Carson has a new trick. When I get things out of the over I always put Carson in the laundry room with the dryer open. He loves to pull the clothes out and play with the lent trap. Well I put him in the laundry room so I could get the brownies out. When I opened the door to my surprise he has now found a way to climb up into the dryer ... silly boy!

Christmas

What a perfect Christmas.

Christmas was magical and perfect this year. Carson was just too fun to watch and I know next year will be even more fun. We had an amazing trip back to Missouri and can't wait to go back. We really enjoyed be able to see all our family and friends. We were even able to see more family at my cousin Abby's wedding. It was a sweet and precious wedding. We were able to make it back to TX with no big travel problems and were able to rest up. So we are ready for 2009 and what wonderful memories and blessings it will bring. Happy New Year!

Grandma and Papa's House at Christmas Time

This is what it says in my parents kitchen. Perfect don't you think.

Christmas Eve ... the clam before the storm.

The Christmas Schedule

One of my favorite places to be is at my parents house over Christmas. Over the years they have both worked very hard to give us the memories that we treasure in our hearts.

Santa's work well done!

Christmas Eve

Caroline and Molly with Carson on the way home from Midnight Mass in Edina. Our little man is just pooped out.
Grandma and Papa with all the grandkids before leaving to Midnight Mass. Too Cute!
Carson really was not liking the whole Midnight Mass thing ... he wanted to go to bed.

I love this picture. Todd, Carson and I are trying to take our Christmas picture while Ali is trying to get to Ellie who is dancing on the coffee table. I just love all the "going ons." It represents our family so well.

This was taken during the day on Christmas Eve. Bella really got him ... you go girl!

Carson's 1st Snowsuit Experience.

We finally made it to Kirksville the night before Christmas Eve. We were a little worried that we would not make it there due to the line of storms that were packed with a nice "wintery mix." We took our time and Todd did the best he could to keep our little rental on the road. Once we did make it into town we were happy to be home. Carson did very well on the trip too. That is always a plus in our book. As some of you may know the child we trained to be a good travel is often not a good one at all.

The next morning Lissy ran over to Ali's to borrow a little snowsuit for Carson. She was ready to get him out in the snow. I just don't know how ready he was for the experience. First putting on the suit was a huge job itself and then going out in the cold and not being able to move well lets just say he is not a fan ... maybe next year!

He has some BIG shoes to fill ... I'm sure it will be sooner rather than later

This past week was full of getting ready for Christmas and just plain normal life. On Monday we went to Carson's 15 month check up. He's a healthy and happy little boy. We then hurried home to make dinner for a friend's husband and little boy since she is in the hospital waiting on her twins to get bigger.

Wednesday we were able to join both Lindsi and Hang for lunch. Carson was such a big boy. He ate his lunch and did not throw a fit. Instead he would smile and talk to everyone around us. Hey, they thought they were just getting lunch but they got a lunch and a show. Carson seems to entertain everyone around us when we go out to eat.

On Thursday we headed over to Liz and William's house for playgroup. William is now a walker and he loves it. As always it was wonderful to see everyone. Carson is really starting to love playing with others.

Friday Carson and I had to go to the mall for some last minute gifts. He was so good in the store! Since he was a good boy we went to go play in the play area.

Saturday Todd, Carson and I went to the Gaylord Texan to see their Christmas display. They have a real life size gingerbread house and Santa. There was a toy solider on stilts that wanted to hold Carson. Carson did not want to be held by him but we still got a picture.

Sunday we packed up our Christmas gifts and today I got them shipped off to Grandma and Papa's house. Christmas is in the bag or at least in the box.
