Let it Snow

Well there has not been much going on around our house lately. So there has not been much to blog about. Carson has been going to preschool and still loving it. I have started to see some of the progress he has made while being there. He has started to learn his letters and will point them out. This week he was watching "Super Why" while I was getting ready and he came and got me to go see the letter "C" and low and behold there was a "C" ... he was so proud. Yesterday we went to drop off Todd's lunch at his work ... Todd has been working A LOT lately. While we were waiting in front of his building we were parked next to a piece of metal art that looked like a "V" and Carson was in his car seat yelling "B" which is how he says "V" I think. He can also count. He knows when he has two "B's" (blankets), two Doggies, and two "wter" (waters.) Before I sent him to preschool I was sad and worried that he was too young but now I see it was one of the best things I could have done for him.
Last week we had our largest snow storm Dallas has ever seen. We got 12 1/2 inches of snow over an 24 hour period. I was able to take some pictures of the beginning. Carson had school that day so I took some pics while we were out and about. Carson went out for a while after we got home from school and of course I forgot my camera inside. My back up plan was for Todd and Carson to build a snowman when Todd got home from work no matter how late it was. But Carson would have nothing to do with going outside that night. He wanted to take a nice warm bath. What can I say he is a lot like his Mommy.
Our home in snow. This was about 6 hours into the storm. Just the beginning.
Our neighborhood.

Carson's preschool while I wait to pick him up. The pastor was out there with no gloves or hat shoveling the sidewalks. People around here do not have true winter coats, gloves, boots and so on. You would not believe how many kids I saw that morning with no coats on. The day before it was in the 70's. SO the storm was kind of a shock for some.

The walking trails Carson and I walk on around the canals near our house.

HAPPY HEART DAY!!!

When I woke up on Valentine's Day Todd had already left for work. These were the flowers he left for me in the kitchen. He was so sweet that he even put them in a vase. Pretty!

Like the wonderful husband he is he left me candy and popcorn in our bathroom so it would be the first thing I found in the morning. Two things about prego girls - love our candy and we have to pee a lot. Check out the cute cheesy card. LOVE IT!

Todd and I wanted to take it easy on the gifts this year for Valentine's Day ... we have two babies on the way and hey they cost a lot. So for Heart Day I gave Todd all the types of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups ... really it was a whole gift bag full of them. If you know Todd then you know that he LOVES anything chocolate. I also completed 6 months of filing that needed to be done. There was over a foot of paperwork and a 2 gallon Ziploc bag of receipts. It took me over a week with the help of a busy little two year old. I thought it would not cost a dime and Todd would love for it to be done. Perfect gift idea for Todd chocolate and a no cost gift that was needed.

Carson got the big cardboard blocks. I remember playing with these when I was little. So far he loves to play with them. Next I'm going to teach him how to build a fort out of them.

Check out his cute shirt from Grandma and Papa.

He also got some cheap little Toy Story toys. If you ever get a chance ask him what Buzz and Woody say. His response is too cute.

For Valentine's Day my two boys took me out to eat. Todd was able to make it home in time to go out and have an enjoyable and yummy dinner. Carson was a big boy and only got in trouble a few times. He did sit in a big boy chair and ate his pasta really well. He also loved his ice cream. Over all it was a very sweet day.
Sorry there are not many pictures of Carson. He is in this stage where he will not let me take pics of him and when I get one he is always pointing at the camera saying "no."

Pancakes with Pops

Don't they look so happy? Really they were both really excited to go to Carson's school for a father and kid pancake breakfast.
Our week was not a eventful one. It was a busy one but no real news. Carson had school and we had a MOPS playgroup at our house. Todd worked A LOT and Carson and I were able relax for most of the weekend.
Saturday morning Todd and Carson went to the pancake breakfast and this was a little thing that Carson had done with his teachers about his daddy.

Time for pancakes!

A gift for Daddy! Check it out Carson has the same "smile" in both pics.

Kirksville or Bust

This little cutie and I made our 11 hour trip up to Kirksville two weeks ago. It was our last trip back before the twins. The pictures are a little out of order. SORRY! On our way up we spent the night with Andy, Autumn and of course miss Briley. Carson and Briley had a blast together as always. It was so nice of them to take us in for the night. Funny to think the next time we see each other both of our will have their new additions.

One night while we were back Ali and Andrew had us over for dinner. Carson LOVES going over to their house. They have all the cool toys with the cool kids. I love going over there because Ali is an amazing cook and baker. This prego girl is loving her food. This cute little girl is one of those cool kids. Ellie dressed herself in this very nice outfit while we were over there.

While at Ali's this is how I found Carson ... he is getting ready for the twins.

Papa is feeding this little cutie his dinner. Lincoln is such a happy baby boy.

Carson really enjoyed playing with Andrew.

This pic was taken while we were in KC with Briley. This is Carson and Briley's idea of sharing. Carson really thought he was sharing too.

LOVE at FIRST SIGHT ... on our way up to KV Carson fell in love with Toy Story. I found Carson at Ali's house just sitting there on the steps loving on Buzz. Jackson was so nice to let Carson borrow his Buzz and Woody until he gets his own.

Jackson and Ellie showing off their moves.

Grandma introduced Carson to Wii.

Grandma also worked really hard to get Carson to eat his mac and cheese.

While we were home Carson opened up some of Todd and I's Christmas gifts. Once he found out they were boring and not for him he moved on to other important things.

This is Molly and her boyfriend Nathan.

I love this smile.

I love these smiles too.

Carson really loved Lincoln. He was very happy to hold him and Lincoln did not seem to mind. I think someone may be on his way to becoming a wonderful big brother.

While we were back we went to Molly's Courtwarming game. She did an awesome job with cheering as always. Carson loved being at the game. He got to dance, eat suckers, popcorn and cheer and dance with his cousins.

This was the water bottle that all the cousins shared ... it was disgusting.

Since we were not going to be back for Valentines Day Grandma and Papa gave us our gifts early. That would be a Buzz sucker. YUMMY! Thank you Grandma and Papa.

He also got a very cute t-shirt to wear on Valentine's Day.

Carson getting the toys ready for his little brother and sister.

Last but not least Carson took this pic of his toes. Too cute!
Lissy also came home to see us. While she was home she took some really cute pic of Carson for his Valentines Day cards. Thanks Lis!
Thank you to Mom and Dad for being such great host. Caroline and Molly thanks for entertaining Carson. He really loves his aunts.

Cameras, Cowboy Boots and More

Look who picked out their own outfit on Saturday. Yes, that's his "Santa Rocks" t-shirt from Christmas and his PJ bottoms. He was proud of himself but still upset at me for snapping some pictures. In this one he is telling me "NO.'

Sunday we let him take some pictures of us with our camera. This is what we got. Lissy you may need to work with him a little.

Now check out this outfit. Yes this is how we let our kid run around outside while we loaded my car for our trip to Missouri.

Boots look super cool with boxer briefs and a backpack or as Carson calls it his "P Pack."

Grandma and Papa I bet you can't wait till we get there. We may leave the boots at home.

Boot and Big Boy Pillows

The other night Carson came up to me after his bath saying "Boo Boo" and when I could not figure out what he wanted he said "this way" and lead me to his boots. I got them down and he put them on by himself over his PJ's and got his "P-Pack." He was ready to go see Papa!

I thought it was pretty cute!

A few night before the big move we gave him his big boy pillow with his name on the pillowcase.

Lets just say he was happy with it.

RIP - Todd's Car

Todd got his wish and was able to drive his car into the ground. Last Friday he called on his way home from work and said it had broken down. He had it towed to the shop and they called the next morning and said it needed a new motor. So we went car shopping on Saturday and bought the new USED car on Monday. Tuesday after Todd got home from work we had the car towed to Car Max where we traded it in. Here is Carson ready to sign the paperwork. So now we have to new Mommy car that can fit all the kids. YEA!

Big Boy Day

Carson's last night in his crib.

All Smiles!!

BIG BOY DAY
Since Carson was going to be moving to his big boy bed we decided to have a Big Boy Day. First we started off the day by going to his first movie at a movie theater. We went to go see "The Squeakel." He had seen the trailer on one of his Christmas movies and talked about it all the time.

On our way. He likes his new seat in the car. He really loves the fact that he get to watch movies while we are driving around town. Funny story .... when were test driving and looking for cars, Carson knew where the DVD screen was because he remembered it from Papa and Grandma's car. He would climb right up into the car and pull down the screen like he had been doing it forever.

Here is a pic of Todd and Carson walking into the theater.

Getting our tickets!

Time for yummy popcorn or as Carson like to call it "cocorn" and orange soda which he was a huge fan of.

Carson even gave the ticket guy our tickets. Sorry no pic of that ... but it was too cute!
Sitting on Daddy's lap and watching the movie. Don't worry I only took one pic at the beginning. Todd only had to take him out twice. He was a very good boy.

Walking out of the movie. See my belly bump ... it looks much bigger when I'm not in black. Gotta love the black. It really slims you up.

Now here is a pic of his Big Boy room. It is no where near being done. But we really wanted to move him. He was ready!

After we got home from the movie Carson took a quick nap and then we were off for his Big Boy Dinner. Okay we should have taken him to Chuck E. Cheese. I know I know. But we really don't want to start that so early and prego Mommy was craving Macaroni Grill.

Carson with his pasta and red sauce. This boy LOVES red sauce. That poor shirt is going to have to be Bized, Shouted, Oxy Cleaned and Tided tons. But it was worth it!

Drinking from a Big Boy Cup. Todd was helping him get the last little drop out. Carson ended up taking off the lid, and drinking it till there was not a drop left. Before we left Carson got ice cream with chocolate sauce. Todd and I shared a Lemon Passion .... YUMMY! Like Sara I'm in love with food right now. It was very hard for me to share with Todd. I even asked him if he was sure he wanted to share and encouraged him to get his own.

After we got home and took a bath it was Big Boy Bed Time. He jumped around on his bed for a while and play.

Then he kicked us out. He pushed us out of his room saying "nite nite."

SO INDEPENDENT!

Yes, that is a shut door ... Todd and I stood out there with our cameras ready just laughing. Soon ...

He opened the door and came out for some toys. Handy Manny and his tools. A favorite in this house.

Then it was back to his room and he shut the door. So we stood out there again waiting to see what would happen next.

Out he comes and on a mission for more toys. A tool bench ... what can I say ... my boy loves tools.

He took them back to the room and shut the door again. Don't worry I won't show you another pic of a shut door.

Then he came out again. This time it was for his tool bench from Bella and a Elmo toy. It was a lot to carry.

So he asked for Todd's help.

He let Todd into the room and then shut the door on me.
About ten seconds later he opened the door and asked Todd to leave.

Todd needed to be guided out. :) This little man cracks me up!

After about five minutes he let us in so that Todd could read him his bedtime story. So Todd read and Carson played. He loves this set up.

Todd and I took turns checking on him. Todd came back once saying he way sitting up in his bed playing with his toys with a smile on his face ear to ear. Our little man fell asleep about 11:40.

Our Big Sweetie!
Our Big Boy. I think he looks like he did when he was a newborn while he sleeps.
