Too Cute
Carson and I started off our weekend on Friday by having lunch with Lindsi at Grand Lux in the Galleria. It is always nice to see her and catch up on her wedding news. While we were there we were able to return a few things and purchase Carson’s 4th of July outfit. I promise it is not plaid or seersucker. We then hurried home so that Carson could take a nap before we went out to eat with Daddy. At Champps’ Carson discovered his love of coasters. Our waiter was so sweet and kept bring him extra ones to chew on.
The next day Carson got to try out his new water mat. He was not a big fan at first but then warmed up to it. At first we had it going full blast but once we saw he was not enjoying it as much as we hope he would we turned it down and then he was fine. I think it will work on those really hot days when we need just a little something to cool us off.
Saturday night as a thank you for watching their dogs, Matt and Hang took all three of us to a Rough Riders game. They are a minor league team in Frisco. It was a little hot at first but soon once the sun went down it became more comfortable. So to keep Carson cool Todd and I took him to a shaded lawn area and ate dinner. Carson got his own cup of fries and loved them. He also loved eating the grass. There for a little while our little boy looked like white trash. We then cleaned him up and headed back to the stands to watch some baseball. Then around the 4th inning it was time for Dip and Dots … Carson loved them. I could not feed them to him fast enough. He kept grunting for more. It was pretty funny. We lasted till the 7th inning when Carson made it perfectly clear that it was time to go home. We had a wonderful time! Thank You Matt and Hang!
On Sunday we went to church and then to brunch like always. This time was special because Carson got to order his own meal. He is now eating so much that he needs his own plate. So Carson 1st meal was grilled chicken tenders and green beans. He was so proud. Once we got home we packed up, change into our suits, sprayed everyone down with sunscreen and headed to the pool. Carson loves the water so far. He was not a big fan of the orange push up we gave him. I think he was a little cranky and in need of a little rest. So we will try the push up again when he is in a better mood. While at the pool Carson loves to play on the steps and chew on everyone’s toys. Really they are the county club’s toys but I know the other parents are probably not crazy about our kid chewing on everything.
We had a very enjoyable weekend. We were all able to rest up and relax a little.
