Home to Home

So sorry about the delay in our postings for last week. Carson and I spent the week in Kirksville with my family while Todd stayed in Dallas and worked long hard hours. Our trip home was wonderful and relaxing. Carson got to spend a lot of time outside in the yard and in the pool. Since it’s so hot here in Dallas he really does not get to do that too often.

While back in Kirksville we got to spend some time with Sara and Bella. They were able to come back with us from St. Louis on Saturday. Carson was more aware of Bella this time which was cute to watch. She still had to make a noise for him to notice her but he would look at her longer and wanted to touch her too. Okay, maybe chew on her a little. He likes to chew on everyone. Bella has grown so much and is just getting cuter and cuter every time we see her.

Of course we got to spend a lot of time with Jackson and Ellie. Carson loves playing with them. He gets so excited and bounces and screams like crazy. Jackson was so good with him. He would ask nicely for Carson to stop destroying his train tracks and would also take the time to play around with him. He would also share his treats with Carson including sour gum … which according to Papa he loved immensely. Dad had taken Jackson and Carson with him to get gas for the mower. After he had loaded the gas tanks into the back of the car and got back into the driver’s seat Jackson said that he was a good boy and share with Carson. Dad said he looked back in the car and there was Carson just chewing away with a slobbery smile on his face. After Papa gassed up the mover he took Jackson, Ellie, and Carson for a ride in the wagon. They all loved it. Later Ali learned how to drive the mower and took them again. TOO CUTE!

Grandma had a great time letting Carson get all messy while we were back. I would get him all dressed and looking cute and then Grandma would take him out back and let him get super messy. I’m still working on all the grass stains. Carson LOVED it. Grandma also introduced him to bubbles. Carson loves to watch them. But he loves to eat them even more. Grandma said after he ate some every time he opened his mouth bubbles would come out.

Ali and Andrew had us all over one night for dinner. Very tasty I may add. She made this dessert which involved apples (the only healthy item), 2 sticks of butter, tons of sugar, crescent rolls, and Mountain Dew to top it off. It was amazing. If you mix it with Papa’s homemade ice cream its heaven. I just love Ali’s new house. It feels like a loving home. Thanks Ali!

The only thing missing while we were back was Andy and his family. I think when we will finally get to see Miss Briley Mae she is going to be taking in full sentences and wearing high heels. We also miss Andy and Autumn. See you at the beach. That is just too fun to say.

We wanted to thank everyone for a great week and all that they did to make it such a fun visit. We always love to come home.
