KV Trip, Jackson's Many Birthdays, Kaitlin's Shower and Easter in MO

Sorry for the delay in our posting. We have had a busy few weeks. Thank you to Ali and Mom for picking Carson and I up from the airport. While we were busy while we were home getting ready for Kaitlin's shower (which I have no pictures from ... I forgot to take them) and Jackson's birthday. Carson and I were able to spend some time with Grandma and Papa as well as with all the cousins and other family. Carson loved spending time with all of them. He loves to play with all his cousins. Thursday was Jackson's birthday so we went out to eat when him and then went to his house to have a sleepover. While we were over there for the sleepover Ali and I were able to get started on all of Kaitlin's shower stuff. That week was also Easter and to our surprise Todd was able to come into town early. Carson loved that! Saturday was the shower and Jackson's SURPRISE party ... he had told his Mom a month ago that he wanted a surprise party with no lights and balloons for his birthday ... So he got the party he wanted and it was pretty cute. That night was the EARLY EASTER EGG HUNT. This was the first year to have it at night and I think everyone enjoyed it. There were headlamps, heavy duty flashlights and even kiddy night vision goggles. TOO FUN! Kaitlin got the golden egg and Zane loves her even more for getting it.

This week was a busy on in the Bobzien house. First Carson and I started off the week with colds but we did not let that stop us. They may have slowed us down a little but we were able to get through our week. Monday we had to catch up on laundry and household chores. We also had to do the Kroger and Walmart run. That night daddy worked late (4:00AM late). He also had a great job interview. Good Job DADDY! Tuesday Carson got to join me for my cut and color due to Mom's Morning Out (MMO) being canceled. Since he did such a good job we got to go get Chick-Fil- A for lunch. Then we got to eat outside while we played on our new slide. Wednesday Carson and I went to MOPS and Moppets. It was a hit with Mommy but not with Carson. He was a little upset so we had to leave a early. We went home and had pizza for lunch which made Carson very happy. We hosted playgroup on Thursday. Carson is getting better at sharing his toys but it still is a little hard. When Daddy got home from work on Friday we went out to eat and then came home for a relaxing evening. Saturday was a busy day. Mommy went to the doctor in the morning and then ran several errands. While mommy was gone Carson and Daddy went to get Daddy's hair cut. Then it was time for yard work. Daddy got all the mulch down and touch painting done. Saturday evening we went to a dinner party for Hang to celebrate her baptism. We will end our week going to her baptism this evening. Enjoy our pics from the week.

This past week Kris, Sam and Kate Beckman came to Dallas for a convention. Kris and I were childhood friend back in KV and were roommates in KC. While they were in town Carson and I went to the Children's Museum with Kris and Kate. The kids had a great time playing with all the interactive activities. Before we knew it nap time was approaching. So we had to call it a day. No worry because on Saturday they came to spend the night with us. Carson loved having Kate at his house. They were excellent play buddies. Kris and I really enjoyed our time to catch up and remembering all our fun times from the past. Sam, Todd and our neighbor friend Matt had a good time watching the playoff games. That night Hang (she worked that day) joined all of us for delicious dinner at Cadillac Ranch. They have the best banana bread pudding with this yummy warm caramel rum sauce. Carson and Kate really enjoyed dinner. They sat next to each other and shared their toys and snacks. They even shared a meal. Don't worry Kris and I are already planning their wedding. Sunday came too quickly and we were sad to see them leave. We can't wait for our next get together. The Bobzien's will need to make a trip to KC soon. Kris, Sam, and Kate thank you so much for a great visit and dinner (which you did not have to do). Here are a few pics from the week with them.

The past few weeks have been pretty relaxed around here. We have had amazing weather and loved every minute off it. Enjoy the pics!

A few weeks ago I hosted a baby shower for my friend Ann Marie from our playgroup. I planed it around a circus theme. "The Cutest Show on Earth" to celebrate Ann Marie and her little peanut Alex. I had just too much fun planning this one. I think it turned out pretty well. Here are a few pics of the decor.

Too Cute ... They are on the wrong feet ... BUT he did it on his own.

I had Carson's outfit for the day laid out in the living room. When I came out of our room this is what I saw. It was the first time he put his own shoes on by himself.

Look what my little man picked for me. What a sweet little boy.

He worked very hard to get into the seat so I went ahead and gave him something to eat while he was there.

TOO much playing ... leads to a sleepy lunch.

Not much went on last week. We got back from Naples late Tuesday and were able to get everything unpack and start the laundry before we went to bed. I'm very happy about that by the way. Thursday Carson and I hosted playgroup at our house. Todd was so nice and got the jump house and water table out since it was such a nice day. The kids loved it and many went home with wet cloths. On Sunday we went to the Dallas Museum of Art to see the King Tut exhibit. Carson was such a good boy and enjoyed listening to his voice echo through the halls. He also learned how the say "Tut." What a smart boy ... hahaha. He is just growing and changing everyday. In the past few weeks he learned how to climb onto the table and open all the doors. He his really keeping Todd and I busy. On Friday Carson had his 18 month check up. He is still in the 50th percentile in weight (25lbs) and head size. He is in the 90th percentile in height (34 inches). His doctor who calls him eyelashes said he is a healthy happy boy. I would have to agree with her. Other than that things were pretty relaxed around here.

We spent last week in Naples with Todd's parents. Carson really enjoyed himself while we were there. Todd and I were able to sit back and relax for a while. It was very nice.

Week in KV

Our flight from DFW to MCI ... Carson is getting better with being on a plane.

Sorry for the delay in our post. We have just been busy with our trip back to KV and then a week later a trip to Naples to see Todd's parents.

We were back in KV over Valentine's Day. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. It was a great treat to be able to see everyone. All my brothers and sisters were able to make it back for the weekend too. The cousins are just loving being around each other. It's really fun to watch them interact. They are a pretty funny bunch. Carson spent some time pushing Ellie around in a little kid stroller. They both really enjoyed it.
Grandma and Papa treated us all to a turkey dinner for Valentine's Day. It is my most favorite meal. Thank you for that. Below are some pics from the week. Enjoy!
