Belly, Cowboy Boots, Bikes and a Duck

Sorry for the delay in our blog. Getting everything ready for the twins has been keeping us pretty busy. Here is a little update and a few pictures.
Carson has started to cook and eat with his play kitchen. Below he made mac -n-cheese with eggs. He then carried his chair into the living room so that he could eat at the coffee table. By the way the hot pad is his napkin.
This is a picture of my belly in a dress that does not make it look as big.

Carson found a new form of entertainment ... our sprinklers. Todd was testing them and Carson just loved it.

All the boy needed was his soap and we could have taken care of his bath.

After the sprinklers it was time to ride his bike.

Daddy and Carson

Then the scooter ... He loves his red cowboy boots.

One evening Carson and I found this duck out in our street. Todd said he had seen it in the same place that morning. Something was not right with the duck but Carson really enjoyed watching him. He would yell "Hi Duck" and then "Quack Quack." Too cute.

We even gave the duck some bread but he did not eat any.

While our delay in blogging we missed posting about Jackson's birthday. I really can't believe that he is six. So happy birthday buddy! I will be back later today to post about Todd's birthday. It was yesterday and we all had a wonderful evening.

Happy Easter!

This weekend we were busy with getting the house ready, doing our taxes and our Easter plans. Carson was such a good boy when we had our taxes done. We were there for over an hour and a half and Carson was so good I had to take a picture.
After looking at the last few weeks of pictures I think it may be time for a new camera. The left side of the pictures seem to be a little blurry. It also takes too long to take a picture.
We colored eggs for the first time this year and Carson was a champ. He is a very good dunker. Over all it was a success. Of course all the cool things I got to make the eggs fancy did not work. But Carson did not come out pink and blue.

Carson's Easter Basket

Carson's cute basket from school.

Easter morning. Look at the little bag in his hands. It holds what he calls his "beans." They were jellybeans that went with his Jellybean Prayer from school. He carried them around with him all weekend.

Checking out what the Easter Bunny brought him.

Okay this is the only pic I have of Carson in his Easter outfit. We were in such a hurry to get to church that we did not take any pictures. Next year I promise to be better at this. We are also going to head to church a full hour early so that we can get seats in the main church. This year we showed up 30 minutes early and got some of the last seats in the overflow mass.

This weekend we were able to put all our extra furniture in storage. Thanks to Matt for helping us do that. We were also able to get the monograms up in the nursery. Once it's finished I will post some pics.

Two Sets of Twins In This House

Okay here you go! You wanted a pic of the belly and now you have a pic of the belly. I'm almost 33 weeks in this picture.

We now have two sets of twins in our house. Todd came out in this shirt ready to do some work around the house. Right away Carson went running to his room and came out with the same shirt. He wanted to dress like his Daddy. Not only that he helped Daddy all day long. When Todd was trimming the bushes in the back Carson came into the house and got my tweezers out of our bathroom. They are the kind that look like scissors. He went out back and used them to help Todd. When they were finished Carson had to put away "his tools" with Daddy's tools.

On Sunday we worked on the Easter cards for the Grandparents. This is what he did with the stickers.

I then told him he needed to put the stickers on the cards and he thought I said "cars." So he put them on his "Cars" band aid. Then he thought Buzz needed one too.

We had a very busy Sunday. With church and working on getting the house ready for the babies we were busy ALL day. This little man had worked so hard he fell asleep on the couch at 8:00 PM and had little interest in waking up.

Cutie!

Today I put him in time out for telling me "NO" and hitting the chair. I went to go get him out and this is how I found him. I'm just praying he does not pee. He is in his underwear.

Andy, Autumn and Big Sister Briley welcomed Baylor to the world this evening. Autumn did an amazing job and as Andy said he did not pass out. We are so very excited and happy to have this new addition to our family. I can't wait to hold him and give him little kisses and hugs. Briley is just loving this big sister thing. Andy said she has been kissing and hugging him nonstop. What a perfect blessing and as my mom said "His blessings are many..."

Daddy Time, New Bike and Silly Leprechauns

After a VERY busy week at work Todd was able to stay home for the WHOLE weekend. Yes, the WHOLE weekend. We loved every moment of it. Since he was home we were very busy getting everything ready for these babies that are on their way. Todd worked on the garage. He was moving everything around, getting things ready to put in storage, putting shelves together and moving rubber maid containers. We are making our way little by little. Our home will be ready by the time Carolina and Colton come home.
Can anyone say regression?
Carson wanted a picture of Doggy in the carseat too.

Sunday after we got home from church we put Carson into shorts for the first time this year. He found the button that opens the glass on the car. I never use that button or the glass part. He was pretty proud of himself.

Loving springtime in TX! We have a runner. Carson loves to run and will run just about any where. I love his smile and cute little shoes.

Pretty Tree ... Spring is here!

Sunday after church we went to Wal-Mart to get Carson his first bike. We were going to wait for Easter but Carson has BIKE DAYS coming up in school. We were not sure if we wanted a bike or a trike. So we went to Wal-Mart so that he could try some out. We went for the bike. After about 5 minutes of working on pedaling the bike we learned that Carson is going to need A LOT of practice. We are hoping he will have it down by Bike Days.

Daddy and Carson on his bike. I love the shadows in this pic.

Daddy helping Carson on the pedaling technique. Look at Carson's hair. That little piece of hair likes to stick up. CUTE!

St. Patty's Day Morning this is how we found the house. Following Ali's lead the Silly Leprechauns came and messed up our house and left some of their treasure for Carson to find.

They left green frogs filled with Starburst for Carson.

When Carson came out of his room he said "Oh no a mess." and "fall down."

He liked his found treasures.

Yummy!

Being so much like his Daddy he got busy putting the furniture back to normal.

Cute little story ... While I was typing this post he came into our room saying "Oh no mess!" He took me out to the living room to show me that the Silly Leprechauns had come again. He had tipped the furniture over all by himself.
This is the best pic I got of his cute St. Patrick's Day shirt. I found it on Etsy. Love it!

Another cute story ... Carson has had a bad cough and has had a hard time sleeping at night so I have been skipping his nap the past few days so that he would sleep better at night. Yesterday he went and got his "B" and Doggy and told me he was going Night Night. He got up on the green chair and then decided I had to go Night Night too. So he went to his room and got another blanket and "Ducky" for me. He then had me lay down and told me to shut my eyes. The cutest part was when he would kiss me and whisper "Night night." I love that boy!
This weekend we are going to work on the house some more and get ready for a playgroup that I'm hosting next Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!

Cute Day!

Look at this cutie!
Just a little bit from our day. Today after school Carson and I were outside playing and on our way to the mail box Carson picked every dandelion in sight. His chubby hands were stained yellow with fists fulls of dandelion. He was so excited about his "frlers" (flowers) so we took them inside to put them in some water. He even wanted to take them with him for his nap.
Now after his baths he wants to put on "mama's sots" (mama's socks) and have his hair brushed with "daddy's bush" (daddy's brush). Currently as I'm typing this he is watching what he calls "Hot Dog Chrismis" (Mickey Mouse's Christmas Carol) on his "DDD" (DVD player). He calls Mickey Mouse "Hot Dog" because of the "Hot Dog" song they sing on Mickey Mouse's Playhouse. I have NO idea why he is wanting to watch all the Christmas movies these days.
Smelling his flowers.

Love them!

PG's and Socks

Carson has started stacking his blocks and gets very excited if he gets 5 or 6 of them in a stack. He wanted to show me this one. He has not been big on letting me take pictures of him but this time he let me and was very proud of his block stack.

His new big thing is wearing his mommy's socks. He will even go get them out of my drawer. The sweet part is that he will bring me a pair too. I think it just too cute.

On Saturday I was painting my toe nails ... VERY VERY HARD to do right now. My belly gets in the way BUT I thought I needed some cute toes. Well Carson wanted his done too. SO I thought why not ... we were not going to go anywhere, Daddy was at work (surprise) and if it makes him happy. Sorry no pics of those cute toes in a pretty coral color. After I finished and we let them dry he would say "Thank you mommy" and "pretty" over and over again.

Not much to report around here this week. Nothing like poor Ali's post. Poor thing had a hard week with a sweet kid with tummy issues. Andy and Autumn had good news to report ... no not "that good news"... they completed the work on their basement. Andy has been working so hard and the pics look great. I can't wait to see it someday. Autumn is still prego. Keep going honey!
We started off our week by hosting playgroup at our house on Monday. Wow how our kiddies have grown. When everyone comes with all their kiddies it can be a MAD HOUSE but hey the kids have fun, the mommies get to talk and hang out and really it's not that hard to clean up after they all go home at noon. I must say it takes a lot more out of me then it use too. This prego thing just zaps the energy right out of you. All that being said by 3:00 everything was back to normal and hey there were a few donuts left over .... YUMMY!
Tuesday Carson had preschool and had his first accident report. He had tripped over a toy and hit his head on the side of toy truck. He ended up with a scrap on his head and a few tears. I'm keeping his accident report for his baby book. By the time I picked him up he was back to normal and playing with all his classmates.
Wednesday I had MOPS and Carson went to MOPPETS. I must say he does so much better than he did last year. Last year when I would drop him off and pick him up he would be crying. Sometimes they would have me come get him early. This year he loves it and the ladies in his room. He just walks in there and gets busy with the toys or showing off Doggy.
Thursday Carson had school and I had a sono appointment. As always Carson loved school and even came home with finger paint in a Ziploc bag. WOO HOO ... I love it when they send them home with paint. :) Well anyways the sono went well. Both Carolina and Colton are head down. Carolina weighs 2lbs and 14ozs. and Colton weighs 2lbs and 10ozs. They are doing very well and look great. It's getting harder to see everything since it's getting crowded in there.
I would put their sono pics up but they are not that great.
The weekend was a lazy weekend for us since Todd had to work all weekend. Carson just loved being home and being able to play with all his toys. He spent most of his time in his "PG's" (PJ's) as he calls them. He wants to put them on all the time. He even wants to wear them to school. I think it all started when I would get home from our days out and I would put my PJ bottoms on for comfort. He wanted to do it too.

Daddy and Elmo ... Life is GOOD

SMILE!!
When Carson came home from preschool on Thursday we went out to play in the backyard since it was so nice out. You never know what the weather is going to be like here in Dallas. Just a few days before this we were having snow flurries. When we got home he wanted to play outside and was saying "boots Mama" which he means his cute red cowboy boots that he loves to wear now. He can even put them on by himself. While he was out there he played in his water table and on his slide. It's amazing how our yard looks like spring already.
After we came in for some lunch I caught Carson drinking the rest of my coffee. If any of you know Carson you know that this kid loves coffee or as he likes to call it "cocee."

Saturday evening Todd was able to leave work early so that we could take Carson to see Sesame Street Live. He was very excited and a little nervous. When we came in to Nokia Theater the first thing I smelled was cotton candy. Me being prego we just had to get some. Carson really did not like it so that left more for Mommy.

On our way in!

A little nervous when the show started ... I thought he was pretty cute.

Still a little nervous.

Sitting on Daddy's lap makes me brave.

The show was over an hour and Carson was ready for a break. So Todd took him out during intermission and he ran up and down a ramp and then was ready to come back to the show

It was best that they left at intermission because a guy came out with like 200 $20 Elmo balloons. I can say the only things we bought were the cotton candy and a drink.

Watching Elmo's World

He was brave and dance out in the aisle with the other kids.

After the show we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. It sounded good and we thought it would not take that long. Well it did take a while but Carson was a very good boy and it tasted great.

Sunday Todd was able to stay home for the WHOLE DAY ... WOO HOO! Todd has been working 7 day weeks at least 12 hours a day. So when he was able to stay home on Sunday we were all very excited. He was able to sleep in and when he got up I ran to Wal-Mart, Kroger and Sams. I needed to get stuff for our playgroup that we will host this morning. When I got back Todd and his little helper were moving things in the garage so that we could fit my car in and start setting up the other half for storage. I could tell that Carson was having a blast he was still in his PJ's (which are too short) with his "boots" on. He hands and face were covered in dirt and dust.

He was a very happy boy.

We spent the rest of the day working on the house and cleaning for playgroup. We finished
around 8:45. Thank you so much Todd for working so hard to get some of this stuff done. It was a wonderful weekend. Carson had a blast and on Sunday the boy got two baths and really needed both of them. That is when you know you have had a great day. Two very much needed baths.
